  • Rolling Pin
  • 9x13 inch baking pan
  • Small saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
  • 1 packet instant yeast.
  • 1 cup warm milk.
  • 4 tbsp melted butter.
  • 1 large egg.
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries.
  • 1/2 cup blueberry jam.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar.
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar.
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract.

Instructions

  • Mix flour, sugar, and yeast together. Add milk, butter, and the egg. Knead until the dough is very smooth.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a warm cloth. Let it double in size for one hour.
  • Punch the dough down gently. Roll it into a large rectangle. Use a floured surface for this.
  • Spread the blueberry jam on top. Sprinkle the fresh berries and sugar. Add a pinch of cinnamon for flavor.
  • Roll the dough into a tight log. Cut it into twelve equal pieces. Place them in your baking pan.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. They should look light golden brown. Let them cool for five minutes.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
  • Don't overfill the rolls with too much jam.
  • Check your yeast to make sure it is fresh.
  • Frozen berries work if fresh ones are gone.
