Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni.
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour.
  • 4 cups whole milk.
  • 2 cups heavy cream.
  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese.
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.

Instructions
 

  • Cook the macaroni in a large pot. Use salted water for better flavor. Drain the water once it is soft.
  • Melt butter in a large saucepan. Whisk in the flour slowly. Cook it for two minutes.
