Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
  • 1 cup salted butter melted.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
  • 4 large eggs.
  • 2/3 cup fresh lemon juice.
  • Powdered sugar for dusting.

Instructions
 

  • Heat your oven to 350°F. Line your pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix flour, sugar, and melted butter. Press it into the pan bottom.
  • Bake the crust for 20 minutes. It should look lightly golden.
  • Whisk eggs, sugar, flour, and lemon juice. Ensure the mixture is very smooth.
  • Pour the liquid over the warm crust. Bake for another 25 minutes.
  • Let the bars cool completely. Dust them with plenty of powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemons for the best flavor.
  • Do not overbake the lemon custard.
  • Chill the bars before cutting them.
  • Wipe your knife between every single cut.
  • Sift the flour to avoid tiny lumps.
