Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups rolled oats.
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds.
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut.
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips.
  • 1/3 cup honey.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter.

Instructions
 

  • Line your baking pan with parchment paper. Leave some paper hanging over the sides.
  • Put oats and almonds in the oven. Bake at 350°F for five minutes.
  • Mix butter, honey, and sugar in a pan. Heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Pour the liquid over the dry oats. Stir well until everything is coated.
  • Wait for the mixture to cool slightly. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the pan. Refrigerate for two hours before cutting.

Notes

  • Press the bars down very hard. This prevents them from falling apart later.
  • Use fresh honey for the best flavor.
  • Add dried cranberries for a tart kick.
