Ingredients
  

  • 5 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes.
  • 8 cloves of fresh garlic.
  • 1 cup salted butter.
  • 1 cup heavy cream.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper.
  • 2 teaspoons salt.

Instructions
 

  • Peel all the potatoes. Cut them into even chunks.
  • Place potatoes in a large pot. Add the peeled garlic cloves. Cover with water.
  • Bring the water to a boil. Cook for about 20 minutes. Ensure they are fork-tender.
  • Pour the potatoes into a colander. Let the steam escape for a minute.
  • Melt butter and cream in a small pan. Do not let it boil.
  • Mash the potatoes and cooked garlic together. Slowly pour in the warm cream mixture.
  • Add your salt and pepper. Stir until the texture is very smooth.

Notes

  • Use Yukon Gold potatoes for the best texture.
