- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small white onion diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 10 large flour tortillas
- 2 cans 10 oz red enchilada sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can 4 oz diced green chiles
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Cook the ground beef in a large skillet. Add the diced onions to the pan. Cook until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the excess fat from the meat.
Stir in the garlic salt and black pepper. Add the green chiles for extra flavor. Mix everything well over low heat.
Whisk the enchilada sauce and sour cream together. Do this in a medium bowl until smooth. This makes the sauce very rich and tasty.
Spread some sauce in the baking dish. Place beef and cheese inside each flour tortilla. Roll them up tightly and place them down.
Pour the remaining sauce over the rolled tortillas. Top with the rest of the shredded cheese. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
- Use full-fat sour cream for the best taste.
- Warm the tortillas before rolling to prevent cracking.
- Add extra cheese on top for a golden crust.
- Let the dish sit for five minutes before serving.
