- Whole chicken 1.5 kg
- Plain yogurt 4 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves 4 minced
- Fresh ginger 1 tablespoon grated
- Ground cumin 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
- Paprika 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala 1 teaspoon
- Lemon 1 whole
- Olive oil 2 tablespoons
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper 1 teaspoon
Prepare the marinade
Mix yogurt and spices in a bowl.
Add garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
Stir well until smooth.
Prepare the chicken
Wash and dry the chicken fully.
Make small cuts on the skin.
This helps flavors go inside.
Marinate the chicken
Rub marinade all over chicken.
Push some marinade under skin.
Let it rest for one hour.
Roast the chicken
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Place chicken on roasting tray.
Drizzle olive oil on top.
Roast for 75 minutes.
Turn once during cooking.
