- 10 CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS
- 6 tbsp HONEY
- 4 tsp SOY SAUCE
- 1 tbsp FRESH GINGER grated
- 2 cloves GARLIC minced
- 3 tbsp RICE WINE VINEGAR
- 2 tsp SESAME OIL
- 1 pinch SALT
- 1 pinch BLACK PEPPER
Heat your oven to 400°F before you start. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel. This helps the skin get very crispy and golden.
Place the chicken in your large baking dish. Season it with a little salt and black pepper. Do not use too much salt because of the soy.
Whisk the honey, soy, and ginger in a bowl. Add the garlic and vinegar to the mix. Stir it until the honey is fully dissolved.
Pour half of the glaze over the chicken legs. Use your brush to coat them very well. Put the dish into the hot oven now.
Bake the chicken for about 20 minutes first. Take it out and pour the rest of the glaze. This creates a thick and sticky layer of flavor.
Bake for another 20 minutes until fully cooked. The internal temperature should reach exactly 165°F. Let the meat rest for five minutes before eating.
- Always pat the chicken skin dry before you cook.
- Use fresh ginger for the very best spicy flavor.
- Do not crowd the pan during the baking process.
- Let the chicken rest so the juices stay inside.
- Turn the drumsticks halfway through for even browning.
