Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Mix warm milk with yeast and sugar.
  • Let mixture foam for five minutes.
  • Add egg and melted butter to mixture.
  • Combine gluten-free flour and salt separately.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  • Knead dough gently for two minutes.
  • Place in greased bowl and cover.
  • Let rise for one hour until doubled.
  • Heat oil to 375°F in deep pot.
  • Roll dough to quarter-inch thickness carefully.
  • Cut into small rectangular pieces evenly.
  • Fry pieces for two minutes each side.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust generously with powdered sugar immediately.
