Equipment

  • Muffin tin (mini size works best)
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Spoons
  • Baking sheet (optional, for easier handling)
  • Oven mitts
  • Small bowl for mixing

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 8 oz brie cheese cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce homemade or canned
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans optional
  • 1 tablespoon honey for drizzling
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • This ensures even baking.
  • Spray your muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • This prevents sticking later.
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry.
  • Cut it into 24 small squares.
  • Each square should fit your muffin cup.
  • Press each square gently into the cups.
  • Make sure they cover the bottom completely.
  • Cut your brie into small cubes.
  • Place one cube in each pastry cup.
  • Don't overfill them. The cheese will melt and spread.
  • Add a small spoonful of cranberry sauce.
  • Put it right on top of the brie.
  • About half a teaspoon works perfectly.
  • Add chopped pecans if you like crunch.
  • Put the muffin tin in the oven.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes.
  • Watch them carefully near the end.
  • The pastry should turn golden brown.
  • The cheese will bubble and melt beautifully.
  • Remove from the oven carefully.
  • Let them cool for 2-3 minutes.
  • Drizzle honey on top if desired.
  • Add a small rosemary sprig for decoration.
  • Serve them while they're still warm.

Notes

  • Use cold puff pastry for easier cutting.
  • Room temperature brie cuts more easily too.
  • Don't skip the preheating step.
  • A hot oven makes flakier pastry.
  • Try different toppings like chopped walnuts.
  • You can make these ahead of time.
  • Just reheat them before serving.
  • Store leftover bites in the fridge.
  • Reheat at 350°F for 5 minutes.
  • Make extra because they disappear fast!
  • Use fresh cranberry sauce for best flavor.
  • Frozen puff pastry works perfectly fine.
